It's the small things

Hubby and I recently were talking about his needs and my needs in our marriage. I expressed that when we were dating he was so creative and romantic and that'd I wished we could incorporate that more in our marriage. As a woman I like feeling special. (don't we all) We go through times where there is more romance than others. And where I am a better wife than other times. (lately I haven't exactly been a Proverbs 31) He expressed the desire for quality time. We both spend a lot of time on the computer, iphone, or at church function. So I am going to try to get my computer time during nap time and not when he comes home. He agreed to be more romantic. I think when I told him I wanted more romance, he thought I meant surprise trips, diamond necklaces, or flowers. Although those are nice *ahem... I had to clear up a few things. I don't need "big" things, romance is in the small things.

I woke up this morning to my cereal box sitting on the table waiting for me. While eating I noticed something looked different........

I think it's sweet and I love that he's thinking outside the box!!

  1. That feeling seems to go along with very young children. We have a hard time moving between mom and wife seamlessly. On child #3 I am still having a hard time but it does get better as long as you recognize that you both need to make a little effort. How sweet he was!
