In need of prayer

Hello, blogging friends. I didn't mean to worry anyone with my tweet yesterday. But I do need prayer. My family needs it. Last Sunday I found out I was expecting number two! We were beyond excited!! Thursday I started spotting and it turned to heavy bleeding Friday and then went back to light spotting. In my heart I fear the worst. I fear that we have lost this baby too. These things are never easy and this one has been especially hard on my husband. Tomorrow I will go to the doctor to find out for sure what is going on. I am trying not to get my hopes up but instead trusting in a sovereign God. This little one's life story has already been written and if that means only a few days or years we will still have a place in our heart for this one. Please be praying for peace for our family. I know so many of you are prayer warriors!!

And if you are a friend or family member and are finding out this way I am sorry! It's easier to get thoughts together and say it all at once here.

Thank you for your support. I will let you know what we find out tomorrow.

God is sustaining.... He is enough.

  2. Oh Monica, I can honestly say that I do know what you're feeling. I know the dread that fills you when you see the spotting, yet the hope that your little one is okay. You are definitely in my prayers. We serve a God of miracles - cling to that as you pray for your newest little miracle! :)

  15. Monica,
I am praying for you and your husband. I know the feeling of seeing blood and then finding out it is a miscarriage. Needless to say, any pregnancy after can make you feeling very nervous. I pray that God will keep your little one safe.

  21. Monica,
Praying peace over you today no matter the outcome. One of my favorite verses is coming to mind as I type, "I will not fear bad news for my heart is steadfast trusting in the Lord." Can't remember the chapter is Psalms, but the Lord knows. Trust Him today. Let me know how it turns out.

  27. Hey Monica,
You visited my blog the other day, so I wanted to stop by yours. I'm so sorry for your loss, I sat with my sister-in-law in the ER this summer when she lost her second baby, then my sweet cousin lost her third to Trisomy 13 a few weeks ago. I have grieved so much for tiny family members in these past months, it must be so hard for you. You're right - God is ALWAYS good. I enjoyed finding your blog. Hugs!
