We received a phone call last Tuesday from hospice saying my MIL would not be with us much longer. We all dropped everything we were doing and rushed to be by her side. I had to leave earlier than my husband so I could take the boys home but everything in me wanted to stay by her side. For some reason even with my Uncle a few weeks ago I don't want anyone to be alone in their last moments here. Everyone ended up leaving at 11:00 pm thinking that she would not make it through the night but she did! I was thankful that a friend of mine took the boys for the day on Wednesday so I could be with her.

Most of the day it was my FIL, her 3 of her sons and two of their significant others, and myself in the room with her. Hubby had to be at work and was going to join us after his last meeting. Around 4 I started texting my husband knowing that her time was drawing near. Hubby and my MIL's brother made it about the same time. An hour later after everyone had made it she took her last breath. She was surrounded by everyone she loved. I know that she wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

Thank you agin for all the prayers. The last few weeks have been exhausting both emotionally and physically. Our boys are ready for some routine again. Oh and I forgot to mention little man in the midst of everything had to make an ER visit for his first set of stitches...that story to come.
