A long over due post

Ladies, it's been a while since I've had a good post on here. Most of my posts have been quick updates. The past few weeks have been nothing short of a whirlwind First the death of my great uncle and then a week later the death of my MIL.

But this week has been a better week. We're back in our routine and our boys are thankful for that. Little man has been potty training this week and doing amazing!! He's been wearing his big boy underwear like a champ! He's so proud of himself.

It's hard to tell in this photo but he now bears a new scar on his top lip. The day we buried my MIL we got a phone call from the sitter telling us that we need to take little man to the ER for stitches. When we got home we saw that his top lip had split. He had pulled a couch table on top of him and the corner of it hit his lip. It looks better now than it did. We're thankful it wasn't any worse and he's a boy, right?

I'm still trying to play the balance game of being a wife, mom, and part time photographer. Some days are easier than others. We're facing a few decisions that we've been facing for a while but are now getting ready to actually move forward. Such as considering attending a different church. Which is a tough decision and one we've been thinking and praying about for what feels like a long time. We've been at our current church for over 15 years. Things are just different today than what they use to be. The atmosphere is different along with the community. It has nothing to do with a moral issue.

Hubby is doing well and staying busy at his job. He just recently celebrated his 5 year anniversary in the office. I appreciate the fact that my husband has stayed at one place and not hopped from job to job chasing after money or a dream job. I love that he provides stability and peace in our home.  He is a huge blessing to our family. We recently started a tradition of playing Monopoly Deal every night before going to bed. He usually wins and that's bringing out a spirit of competition that I don't normally have. I must beat him! :)

Our family run is back in full swing! It's almost swimsuit season again....DREAD!

I hope you are all having a great week!

So sorry. :( That picture of your boys is just too cute! You are inspirational to take them running with you and do a family run, that is great!
