How to say "Thank you" to bloggers

You run to your google reader or blogger dashboard and you notice your favorite blogger has updated their blog. The blogger shares cute pictures of her kids, a tutorial, or a heart felt post. You appreciate and enjoy what you read but maybe failed to express it.

Blogging in some seasons of life is easy but in other times it can be challenging. Sometimes blog authors may feel pressured to write a post even when they don't feel like it. And it can be hard work to come up with something others will want to read.

So how can you as a reader say "Thank you" and show appreciation for your favorite blog authors' hard work?

Here are a few ideas:

  •  Tweet or facebook a post that you really enjoy. This is a huge compliment to any blog author and you may introduce their blog to new readers.
  • Give grace in knowing that a blog author is unable to respond to every comment or email. Contrary to popular belief mom bloggers are not super women with magical powers to answer all emails, change diapers, cook dinner, work out and still have quality time for their family.
  • Leave a comment of encouragement on a post....I can only speak for myself but I really do read every comment and appreciate every single one.
  • "Share" their facebook page to your friends.
Do you have any other ideas?

  1. Send a quick email if their address is available. I always feel like someone has gone the extra mile when they do that, and it shows that they really cared to take a few extra minutes. Plus, I have several new friendships thanks to a sweet email!

  7. Pray for them if they are in a hard situation-and tell them they are in your prayers!

  8. I never met you, but I feel like i know you from your blog. Blogspots are blocked in the Country we live in, so I can only follow blogs that are not blogspots. I've enjoyed reading your blog & learning a bit about photography along the way. Thanks!
