Don't read if you are easily grossed out.

Cohen started showing symptoms of hand, foot, mouth disease on wednesday. He got a few bumps and was really fussy. Thankfully it didn't last long and he started feeling better on sunday. Little man started showing symptoms on saturday. He got a few bumps on sunday and then yesterday the bumps got out of control.

Little man already has chronic eczema which cause him to itch. The itching caused his hand, foot , mouth rash to get infected last night. He is miserable and in so much pain. I took him to the dr. this morning. Nurses kept coming in the room to look at what called "the worst case of hand, foot, mouth disease they've ever seen." The worst part is because of the sores in his mouth he is refusing to take the antibiotic he prescribed for his infection!

Will you be praying with us that he heals quickly? Cohen seems to get over childhood illnesses quickly but little man on the other hand seems to get it 10x worse than the average child. :(

  1. Saying a prayer that the Lord help your lil guy.

  2. poor thing! I'll be praying for him!

  3. Oh no, I hope he gets better soon!!

  4. oh, poor little guy! that is miserable! we just came through a horrible cold/flu with the girls... not fun having sick kids... especially in the summer!

  5. I have 5 boys all with asthma, allergies, eczema, so I know what you are talking about. My 8 year old in particular is very sensitive to everything and he takes forever to heal. I recently learned that a lot of kids with really bad allergies also have a primary immune deficiency, they can test for it at an allergy clinic. I am not saying your son has this but you might look it up and ask your dr. Hope he feels better soon! He looks like I did when I had chicken pox as an adult, it was horrible.
