Dad
What are his best qualities as a dad, tell him. You can either write a letter, text, email or just verbally tell him that he's a great dad. Get very specific, for example; remember that time when Johnny was throwing a fit and you showed incredible control, grace and love...I was so proud of you.
If your husband is more of a stand offish dad, still try very hard to find something he is good at and harp on it. Don't go into a list of things he doesn't do well or what you wish he would do. That will counteract the point of this exercise.
